Mahat~Total Oracle: Community Meditation

  • Pohala Botanicals, LLC PO BOX 1162 KULA United States (map)

In Hawaiian and pre-Hawaiian (Mū), the name signifies the Kiakahi, or the “purpose” on an individual. Mā-hat (Ma-HaKA) literally means “total oracle.” Mahat’s legacy is that of a legitimized oracle, and it is he who resurrected the sacred rites of ‘Ulu (pre-polynesian breath and movement) and Pua’aehuehu (fern medicine).

What and who came before Mahat, we don’t exactly know, but in the skill of his kiakahi, Mahat re-established a much longer legacy of ancestors leading to the root races of the Mea’Uli / ‘A’ā Ena (original Mū), and the Mea Ne’e (hyperborian).

In this 1 1/2 hour group meditation, Pōhala founder, Ke’oni Hanalei, the great grandson of Mahat, 1,014 times over, will guide us through a breathing technique of the Hoe, the Mū incantation, and a repetitive rendition of one of the most sacred Mū prayers recited in the ancient dialect.

The name, itself, MAHAT, is an activation of the sovereign oracle of the self. This is a major component of his persistent legacy: to activate and nurture the memory of The Oracle. This is what we hope to accomplish during this community effort.
