The power of ruin, as an emotion, reminds that parts of us must become destroyed. There has been incredible self-doubt, seduction of limitation, and the conformity of that which is not natural sovereign ~ this is what must become destroyed. There comes a time for all of us to become brave and LET GO of the identities which have violated the purity and sacredness of self.

Join Pōhala founder, Ke’oni Hanalei and Ealaea mystic Kaleinohea Cleghorn, as we explore these sacred emotional codes.  Let’s discern the importance of emotional RUIN on a sovereign, individual basis, and that of a more expansive, collective software.

  • This 2-hour interactive workshop begins with a brief sharing of Pua’aehuehu, Fern Medicine, and an introductory oration into the emotion known as Ruin

  • Kaleinohea Cleghorn blesses our space with a toning, weaving a loom to which we may rest in as we explore the emotion of ruin.

  • Our discussion will evolve into the actual PULE (incantation), breath, and movement of ruin medicine — how does divine RUIN move? Is there a prayer for sacred Ruin? If so, what does it sound like?

  • Second portion of the workshop includes the incorporation of ‘ULU, archaic Hawaiian body movement. Founder, Ke’oni Hanalei, will guide us through a supportive practice to encourage the movement of RUIN throughout the body.

  • Kaleinohea Cleghorn may weave in further toning, movement and breathing as deemed compatible for where we are in our journey.

  • Participants are encouraged to tune in from a safe, secure, quiet, space. Participation in the ‘ULU and any other movement portion is highly encouraged, and so we’d also recommend a flat surface to sit on, with yoga mat or towel. Comfort is always suggested!

  • Third portion of the workshop is to encourage community sharing. This is not a requirement, and those who choose anonymity are supported in their choice to disable video/mute sound. ~ Like my elders taught me… sometimes, just your presence IS your contribution :-)
