Lokelani Rose, known scientifically as rosa damascena, is regarded as the official flower of the enchanting island of Maui. Transferred to this stunning island over 150 years ago, it has developed a unique variation that is distinctively found only in Maui. For passionate rose enthusiasts, this flower is celebrated as the only true rainforest rose in the entire world. Koki’o ‘Ula, which is the striking red hibiscus, carries with it deep, ancestral roots on the island of Maui—its presence and significance are intertwined with prayers and chants that date back over 1,000 years. As such, it is truly regarded as the native among natives.

Both Koki’o and Lokelani oils are made via enfleurage extraction from wild harvested botanicals on the island of Maui. Made is small batches, the harvesting and extraction process honors old protocols of Hawaiian Lā’au Lapa’au (plant medicine)
